Pinocchio vende l’Abbecedario per assistere a uno spettacolo di burattini

Entusiasta per i nuovi progetti l’indomani, Pinocchio si avvia verso la scuola, ma durante il tragitto lo raggiunge una musica di pifferi. Egli chiede allora ad un ragazzo del paese cosa sia il baraccone da cui proviene quella musica e scopre così che è giunto in città un teatro di burattini. Curioso Pinocchio decide di fermarsi per assistere allo spettacolo, ma scopre di non avere con sé il denaro necessario. Indeciso sul da farsi sceglie di vendere al ragazzo il proprio abbecedario.

Pinocchio sells the primer to attend a performance of wooden puppets Enthusiastic about the new plans, Pinocchio sets off the next day. On the way there, however, the sound of whistles reaches him. He now asks a boy from the village what the barracks is where the music comes from. So he learns that a puppet theater has come to town. Curious, Pinocchio decides to go to the performance, but realizes that he doesn't have enough money. Not sure what to do, he decides to sell the boy the primer.
